Sailing the ferry
From June to August the ferry villa is mainly rented week by week (from Monday to Monday). During other periods sailing and accommodations may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. If you want to sail with the ferry, please inform us when doing the reservation. To sail the ferry, we require sailing experience.
Is there an adventurer who wants to sleep in the Saimaa Lake?
With Saimaa Homeboat Joutsen you can sail to almost anywhere on Saimaa Lake. If you are interested in staying at a specific location, please ask for a quote. To sail the ferry, we require sailing experience.
Transportation to desired location
We also offer transporting the Ferry Villa to desired location. For example, if you wish to stay at Savonlinna, we can transport the ferry there. Please ask a quote for the transportation service.
Wind limits
For safety reasons the wind limit for sailing the ferry is 6 m/s (13,4 mph). If the wind limit exceeds during May-August, the ferry must be docked. If this happens, we will provide a day basis discount for the windy days.
If you are forced to stay on the dock because of the windy weather, we apply the following lowered prices:
- 30.6. – 31.7.2021: 190 € per windy day
- Other periods: 150 € per windy day

With electric bike you can easily move on challenging paths. When you rent the Ferry Villa, you can also rent electric bikes.
